# A research label gives no plan for your care

“For research use only” means labelled for laboratory work. It does not mean an approved treatment for people.

## A research label does not make treatment approved

The US drug agency is called FDA, short for Food and Drug Administration.

FDA sent warning letters about peptide products sold for treatment but labelled for research. FDA said they were unapproved drugs. Letters checked September 26, 2026.

A warning letter tells a business what FDA believes it has done wrong. It is an accusation, not a court decision.

## A promising name can still lack approval

BPC-157, ipamorelin and retatrutide had no approved US medicines in the FDA records checked September 26, 2026.

Ask whether the exact medicine being offered has FDA approval. Ask about that medicine by name.

## Some ingredients cannot be used in custom medicines

FDA says federal law does not allow medicine made to order with retatrutide or cagrilintide. FDA guidance checked September 26, 2026.

Ask the health professional: “Is this medicine approved? If it is made to order, why is that allowed by law?” Ask for that explanation before asking how to get it.

## Keep the question about real care

- Is this medicine approved for use in people?

- Who will check my health and discuss treatment?

- Which pharmacy would fill the medicine order?

This is a guide beside your Queen Creek care questions; it has neither a clinic desk nor medicine to sell.
