# Pause when the answer is only a sales pitch

Look for a clear product, a real assessment and a pharmacy you can identify.

## No prescription is a serious problem

Supplying a prescription medicine without a valid medicine order breaks federal law. Federal rule checked September 26, 2026.

A prescription is the medicine order from a licensed health professional. Ask how that person checks your health before any medicine is supplied.

## A custom drug cannot claim approval

The US drug agency is called FDA, short for Food and Drug Administration.

A medicine made to order cannot truthfully be called FDA-approved. FDA guidance checked September 26, 2026.

Compounded means made to order. If the business says “FDA registered”, ask what details it has put on file. Then ask separately whether the medicine itself has approval.

## A pharmacy name can need checking

FDA has found false pharmacy details on some labels for semaglutide and tirzepatide medicines made to order. FDA warning checked September 26, 2026.

Get the name early and use the official board route. If the name on the delivery differs, ask for an explanation before relying on the label.

## A seal is not a record

FTC means the Federal Trade Commission, the federal consumer agency.

FTC warns that official-looking seals and guarantees on health websites can be faked. FTC guidance checked September 17, 2026.

Check the record with the board that licenses the person or pharmacy. A logo is not that record.

FDA says very low prices can be a warning sign. Lawful offers for people paying without insurance can also cost less, so a low price alone is not proof of a problem. FDA guidance checked September 17, 2026.

Price alone does not settle the check. Put it beside the prescription, licence and pharmacy details.

## Read the source for this question

- [FDA: checking an online pharmacy](https://www.fda.gov/drugs/besaferx-your-source-online-pharmacy-information/considering-online-pharmacy)

Read the full set of signs; a low price alone is not a verdict.

- [FDA: claims about custom medicines](https://www.fda.gov/drugs/human-drug-compounding/fda-telehealth-companies-what-know-when-promoting-compounded-drugs)

Useful for spotting an approval claim that does not match the product.

This is a guide beside your Queen Creek care questions; it has neither a clinic desk nor medicine to sell.
